Ana B.

Ana is the definition of dedication and pride in her craft. Since starting her journey with Eataly at our flagship NYC Flatiron location in 2017, she has consistently shown an unwavering commitment to her role, treating the kitchen with the same care, respect, and attention as if it were her own home. Beyond her skill, Ana is a reliable and punctual team member who fosters a positive environment, building strong relationships with those around her. Her longevity with the company speaks volumes, and her story is one of loyalty, resilience, and heart. Ana truly deserves to have her journey recognized and celebrated, as she represents the very spirit of Eataly.

What is your background?
“I was born in Mexico and moved to the United States 30 years ago. I have always loved cooking and have worked in restaurant kitchens in New York City since 2012.”

What has your Eataly journey been like?
“A private chef in Manhattan introduced Eataly to me in 2017, and I haven’t looked back. I spent seven years as a Line Cook at Flatiron’s Birreria restaurant before making the switch in 2023 to Eataly SoHo, where I have worked all of our stations. I’ve learned so much about Italian food here, but most of all, our pastas. Beyond cooking, my role also allows me to manage the preparation of our station for service. I love being busy, and my favorite part of the role is cooking many dishes at once!”

What advice do you have for a fellow Eatalian?
“It’s best to pay careful attention to our procedures and processes, as well as to stay attentive to what your teammates are doing. This way, everyone is on the same page and we can handle our responsibilities successfully.”

What are some fun facts about you?
“I learned to cook from my family as a kid in Mexico. I could never have imagined following my passion and living in New York City. Eataly has grown so much since I joined, and I am so grateful to have been part of the journey.”
