As a Fishmonger, what are your daily tasks?
“I start work in the morning and check everything to make sure we only have the freshest, best products to offer our guests. We have to check all the products. Then we put ice on our fish, because it needs to stay fresh. Sometimes we add a little water because some fish dry out with air or light. After, we clean everything and see what else we need to bring out. Then, we provide service to our guests.”

What’s your favorite fish to eat?
“I personally think our salmon and Chilean sea bass are really good, and I love our mussels in pasta. Our fish comes from many places. We get Chilean fish, we have sardines from Portugal, salmon from Alaska. We have a large offering.”

How would you describe your team?
“I like my team. I’m the only woman at the station, and everyone is very respectful and kind. I spend a lot of time with my team and really enjoy working with them.”

What has your Eataly journey been like?
“I really appreciate the growth opportunities at Eataly. If you want to move to another position here, they allow you to learn and don’t keep you in the same place. In my case, I started in housekeeping. They gave me the chance to move to the station and learn about seafood, even though I knew nothing about it. I’ve seen many people grow in the company. They start in one department and then move up.”

What is your advice for a fellow Eatalian?
“Take opportunities to learn everything you can. Don’t limit yourself. Eataly values people who are willing to learn new things. Be open to learning everything, not just what falls within your job. For example, I asked to learn to clean and filet fish and now I know a lot about it. The more you learn, the more you will be able to grow.”

Outside of Eataly, what do you enjoy doing?
“I love to dance and cook! I am also going back to my studies and am interested in either business, teaching, or law.”
