Highly organized and detail‑driven, Claudia ensures bread production runs smoothly each morning. Her reliability and strong work ethic make her an invaluable Eatalian.
What is your background?
“I was born and raised in El Salvador. I came to Los Angeles in 2013 looking for more opportunities. I started working at a restaurant making pizzas and also worked in sewing. I got involved in the food industry because I enjoy cooking, and someone recommended that I work at Eataly.”
What has your Eataly journey been like?
“I started working at Eataly around the time the LA store opened. I first worked at the Pizza alla Pala station, then had the opportunity to transfer to the bakery department in May 2018. Since then, my knowledge has grown a lot. I know all the recipes, the correct temperatures, and even how to fix the dough when it does not come out right. I became a Lead in 2022, and since then I have been responsible for bread and catering orders, production, covering team member stations when someone calls out, and managing my own station at the oven for baking. My favorite part of the job is making the mix, working with the dough, and shaping it. I love seeing the color and texture of the bread once it comes out of the oven.”
What advice do you have for a fellow Eatalian?
“Do your job with love and passion. If you love what you do, you will do it well!”
What are some fun facts about you?
“I enjoy resting, spending time with my family at lakes and rivers during the summer, and visiting snowy mountains in the winter. I also love going dancing and eating out with coworkers. Growing up, I always wanted to work in a bakery!”
