Year Joined the Eataly Team: 2023
Eataly Favorite: Spaghetti al pomodoro

Eleutario is from the Atlantic region of Honduras, which – as he says – is a place where people are always dancing!

In 2023, Eleutario joined the team at Eataly Boston as a Prep Cook in Central Kitchen. During his time in Back of House, Eleutario demonstrated attentiveness, commitment to excellence, and respect for the traditions of Italian cuisine. Recently, he transitioned to the Front of House as a Specialist in our Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) Department.

Enthusiastic and curious, Eleutario has rapidly expanded his skill set by embracing new tasks in QSR such as overseeing break times, organizing the floor flow, and inputting collateral. He has taken responsibility for his own growth, regularly watching videos and seeking guidance from teammates to enhance his artistry with coffee.

Utilizing his exceptional ability to follow operational guidelines and ask questions to improve processes, Eleutario has made a measurably positive impact since joining QSR. Within two weeks of starting in the department, he identified an approach to minimize waste and improve quality at the Panini counter. He never sacrifices quality in product or service, leading by example with his demeanor and work ethic. An uplifting presence at Eataly Boston, we are fortunate to have Eleutario on our team.

What has your journey at Eataly been like?
“I’m very happy to be here. I’m grateful to be in this position and to have the opportunity to grow. I love my job and try my best to continue improving. Eataly is a great company, and I feel really good being here.”

What is your favorite memory from your time at Eataly so far?
“Last year around Christmastime, a guest saw me dancing and asked why I was so happy. ‘Because it’s Christmas!’ I explained that I was giving thanks to God for my health and for having a job. In that moment I felt like I was where I needed to be. I liked that I could share that joy with others.”

How would you describe your team?
“The QSR Team welcomed me right away. They always made an effort to teach me, and even today, they continue to be patient and help me learn. I know I may not work as quickly as other specialists, but they have supported me and given me the time to improve. There is a lot of camaraderie across my team.”

What advice do you have for a fellow Eatalian?
“Try to adapt, learn, and always stay engaged in your day-to-day work. Bring enthusiasm! This is a great team, and everyone collaborates. The key is to be open to learning and adjusting to the group.”

Since working at Eataly, what have you been able to teach others about Italian cuisine?
“Because I worked in the kitchen first, I can explain to guests how certain dishes are prepared. For example, if someone orders a Bolognese pizza, I can tell them what kind of meat it contains and the ingredients it includes. Since I have experience in pastry as well, I can also explain how many of our desserts are made. For example, for guests that don’t eat pork, I know that some gelatin contains pork-based ingredients, so I make sure to let them know.”

Who inspires you?
“My mother is my greatest inspiration. She worked so hard and was always generous. She taught me to love and care for others.”

Outside of Eataly, what do you enjoy doing?
“I love spending time with my friends and family. I enjoy supporting my siblings and friends, talking with them, and sharing memories. I also have a passion for music and play an instrument.”
