What is your background?
“I am a Mexican-American born and raised in Queens. After high school, I held a number of jobs in different industries. I have been a rehab transporter at a nursing home for a physical therapist, a custodian, and even a dietary aide! I was introduced to the food industry as a kid, when I would help my father in the pizzeria where he worked. I’ve spent time as part of kitchen prep staffs, too, which was experience that allowed me to transition seamlessly into my role at Eataly.”

What has your Eataly journey been like?
“I joined Eataly in July 2024 as a Grocery Sales Associate. After 6 months I earned the opportunity to become a Grocery Sales Specialist. In December 2025, I stepped up to become Grocery Lead. I carry a lot more responsibility in this role, which includes delegating tasks among my team members and tracking our progress across the entirety of the department. One of my favorite parts of my job is when we change retail campaigns, which means updating displays and marketing materials. Then, we get to watch our products fly off the shelves. It’s exciting to see work from across each department come together cohesively.”

What advice do you have for a fellow Eatalian?
“My advice for my fellow Eatalians is to show your manager that you want to grow. You must reflect that desire in your work by taking on more responsibilities and demonstrating that you can be dependable.”

What are some fun facts about you?
“Growing up, I played soccer with my family every weekend. I was also fascinated by the human body as a kid and would read books on biology and anatomy, I was also always watching the Discovery Channel! Nowadays, I enjoy watching and participating in different types of mixed martial arts like Brazilian jiu-jitsu, muay thai, and boxing.”
