What is your background?
“I was born in Corlu, Turkiye, and later moved to Istanbul. I studied Translation and Interpreting in Istanbul. I worked as an exam coordinator. When I moved to Toronto, I studied Business Administration, and I worked as an Assistant Team Leader at a retailer. I used to visit Eataly often in Istanbul and always loved the atmosphere, food culture, and experience. I was really happy to later become part of the team myself!”

What has your Eataly journey been like?
“I started at Eataly in October 2023, I joined after attending ILAC’s Eataly job fair, which gave me the opportunity to connect with the company. I started in Guest Relations and the Cash Office. Later, I began doing orders for the Housewares Department, and eventually I also took on responsibility for the Wine Department. Right now, I mainly focus on purchases, transfers, inventory, and guest service for the Wine Department. I also assist the team wherever needed and continue supporting the Housewares department as well. My favorite part is learning something new every day and being able to help both guests and the team.”

What advice do you have for a fellow Eatalian?
“Stay curious, ask questions, and support your team. Don’t be afraid to take on new responsibilities. There’s always something to learn at Eataly.”

What are some fun facts about you?
“I love trying new foods and exploring different places. During the summer, you’ll find me at the beach enjoying the sun. As a kid, I wanted to direct films and act in them too. Now, I like watching weird psychological movies, the types that make people say ‘what did I just watch?’ and leave everyone confused for a week.”
