In 2023, Jenna joined Eataly Boston as a Server. Since her start, she has demonstrated unwavering dedication to offering every guest a positive and memorable dining experience at TERRA.
Jenna quickly realized the importance of product knowledge to her job and took initiative to expand her understanding of Italian cuisine and beverage. Now, she reliably guides guests through the entire dining experience, from the menu to wine pairings. Her deep knowledge of our restaurant offering has contributed to increased sales and guest satisfaction.
A true team player, Jenna is always willing to go above and beyond whether it’s covering shifts, running food, bussing food, or offering assistance to other Servers during peak hours. Her enthusiasm for providing top-tier service has helped create a welcoming and joyful atmosphere across our team at TERRA.
What is your favorite memory from your time at Eataly so far?
“When Dave Chappelle came to Eataly Boston. As he was walking past me, he stopped and said, ‘Thank you’ and hugged me. He had his dog with him, and we both have the same type of dog. I told him, and he made a joke about it, which really made me laugh. It’s definitely one of my favorite memories.”
What is a typical day like as a Server at Eataly?
“We begin with pre-shift when we hear about anything we need to know for the day-to-day routine. Then, depending on how busy the restaurant is, I am either serving during the entire shift or focusing on side work.”
How would you describe your team?
“Our team at TERRA is great! Most people have been at the restaurant a long time, which is a testament to how good of a place it is to work. Everyone on our team brings their own background, personality, and strengths. Getting to know and work with people from so many different places and cultures is the best part of my job. I learn so much from my teammates. They make me happy and motivate me to do my best.”
What advice do you have for a fellow Eatalian?
“Teamwork is the most important thing at Eataly. We’re all super team-oriented and genuinely want to help each other. I feel it much more here than at any other place I’ve worked. It’s important everyone knows what to do and when to do it. If someone needs help, it is your duty to help them.”
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
“When I was growing up, I wanted to be a doctor – a primary care doctor. I remember taking Biology class super seriously because I thought that’s what I would do.”
Who inspires you?
“My family. Many of my family members own their own business. I eventually would like to own my own clothing or fitness business. They’re always so supportive of me. They believe in me and have ideas for me.”
Outside of work, what do you like to do?
“I am into fitness. I really like strength training. I also enjoy thrifting, which is very popular in Boston.”
