Jinal P.

Jinal was born and raised in Gujarat, India where she attended high school. At age 18, she moved to North America to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. During this time, she explored a variety of cuisines from Mexican vegetarian dishes to Italian, and her passion for food began.

In 2022, Jinal joined the team at Eataly Toronto Yorkville as a Front-End Sales Associate and quickly advanced to Front End Lead. She pursued additional training and consistently attended product knowledge sessions, becoming a trusted resource on the floor.

Jinal is known on the team for her calm, supportive energy which helps foster a positive and inclusive environment. She leads with empathy, always upholding Eataly’s values and ensuring both guests and teammates feel cared for and respected. During busy times, she often stays late to close properly or steps in to support others without being asked. As a mentor, she helps new hires feel confident and well prepared.

What has been your favorite memory at Eataly so far?
“Our busy time during Christmas. Everyone is on the move, and everything is ongoing, like a fast-paced environment that I love. I get tired, but I’m also excited to go on and get things done. There is a lot of energy.”

Who inspires you?
“My mom inspires me. As a child, I saw my parents struggle, and one thing that my mom said to me was that it’s important to be independent- make your own future and your own career.”

What do you enjoy doing outside of Eataly?
“I have a dog; he’s six years old. I got him when I was volunteering in an organization. He was a puppy when I adopted him, and I was so happy. I was a trainer for him too. Whenever I clock off and I run home, I do it because I remember there is someone waiting for me at home who wants to see me.  I also love hiking, dancing, singing, and reading books. I really enjoy window shopping too; it helps me regulate my emotions.”

What advice do you have for a fellow Eatalian?
“Stand out, you don’t have to fit in. Everyone has differences and weaknesses. At the same time, you need to ask questions and be curious every single day.”
