Eataly Favorite: Pasta alla Bolognese

Born and raised in Texas, Jonathan joined the military after graduating high school. Afterwards, he worked in a variety of warehouse jobs, many of them food‑related. From these experiences, he developed an interest in food and increasingly wanted to work around it.

In 2021, Jonathan joined the team at Eataly Dallas – seeking a family-oriented work environment. From the start, he was reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn. Thanks to dedication and his attentiveness to detail, Jonathan became a Housekeeping Lead. In this role, he does whatever he can to ensure the store’s success, often staying extra hours to assist vendors. He and his team are crucial to the proper functioning of the store and the creation of a positive guest experience every day.

What is your favorite memory from your time at Eataly so far?
“My favorite memory would be the events and all the times we’ve had All-You-Can-Eataly. You’re around everyone, listening to music, maybe seeing a live band, and it’s just a fun experience.”

What’s the best part about your job?
“I would have to say the end shift, because that’s when everything returns to its place and I realize that everyone is okay and everything went well. Then we’re ready for the next day, and I’m happy about that.”

What have you learned while working at Eataly?
“I’ve learned patience and even empathy because you deal with multiple people every day. Also, not every day is going to be a good day for you or for others. You have to accept that and consider they might have a situation outside of work. Patience is important.”

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
“I wanted to be a firefighter!”

What do you enjoy doing outside of Eataly?
“I have kids, so I just want to see them happy. Whatever they’re into, I’m into. I have a son who likes boxing, track, and playing football.”
