Josselin was born in Guatemala and raised in Los Angeles. She began learning more about different cuisines when she recognized the importance of food in her community. After studying Child Development at Glendale Community College, Josselin entered the food industry by launching a family-owned coffee shop.

In 2022, Josselin started her Eataly journey as a Front End Sales Associate. Thanks to her dedication to learning and collaboration, she promptly became Front End Lead for the Eataly Los Angeles team.

In addition to her main role, Josselin has become well versed in various departments. She understands how important it is to encourage team collaboration and actively helps in that process. Often, she goes above and beyond by using these opportunities to expand her own knowledge as well.

What is your favorite memory from your time at Eataly so far?
“I love when we do the Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day Celebrations at La Pizza & La Pasta. We usually have delicious food and celebrate with the Store Director. It has really given us a sense of community in putting together all the departments. I think seeing everyone come together for that celebration is one of my fondest memories.”

What have you learned since joining Eataly?
“I’ve learned so much—not only about food, but also about leadership, patience, attention to detail, culture, and helping customers feel comfortable and welcomed in the store.”

Who inspires you?
“My English teacher from high school. He passed away a couple years ago, but he had a great impact on my life. He taught me that success isn’t about your job title or how much money you make. Your job is something that should make someone’s day better and bring a smile to their face.”

What do you enjoy doing outside of Eataly?
“I love to read, especially when I’m at peace and it’s quiet because it helps me clear my mind. I think history and mystery books are the best.”
