Manuel B.

Manuel was born and raised in Mexico. Growing up with his brothers, he worked in restaurants as both a server and in the kitchen. These years gave Manuel the experience he’d need to start his professional journey.

In 2022, Manuel joined the team at Eataly Silicon Valley as a Runner, shortly after the store’s Grand Opening. Demonstrating diligence and drive from Day One, Manuel was soon promoted to a Server position. Today, as a Lead Server, he takes responsibility for the floor plan, assists the manager when needed, and supports the rest of the servers. The excellent customer reviews he has received confirm his passion and focus on the customer experience.

Since his start at Eataly, Manuel has strived to always do his best – taking proactive steps to master all restaurant procedures and dynamics. His dedication has earned him the respect of his teammates, who consider him a helpful, friendly, and dependable team player.

What is your favorite memory from your time at Eataly so far?
“When I first saw the dishes, especially the Spaghetti al Pomodoro, and the Bucatini Cacio e Pepe. They used to make it table side, and it was very impressive.”

What have you learned since you joined Eataly?
“I’ve been learning about all the different shapes of pasta as well as the different sauces from the different regions of Italy. It’s been fun!”

Who inspires you?
“My grandpa because he was always a hard worker.”

What do you enjoy doing outside of Eataly?
“I love food, so I like to explore new restaurants or try new food.”
