Originally from Guerrero, Mexico, Maria has been part of the Eataly Dallas Team since the store’s opening. Starting as a Prep Cook in Gastronomia, Maria soon mastered the entire production process for our Made in Eataly offering.
In 2022, Maria transitioned to Central Kitchen. She quickly learned the systems, processes, and recipes of the kitchen. Now, Maria handles all requisition requests – an important task that she takes on willingly and performs reliably. The Production Team looks up to her as a subject matter expert. Maria sees the big picture and is always happy to help. Her positive attitude, culinary skills, and knowledge of Eataly make her a valued teammate.
What advice do you have for a new Eataly team member?
“I learned that I have the capacity to do anything. Talk to everyone. Don’t be scared. We all work together, and we’re all learning together.”
Outside of Eataly, what do you like to do?
“I spend all my free time with my family, mainly my niece. I also love to cook Mexican food.”
Have you tried any new foods at Eataly?
“So many. I like the desserts and pastries, especially. They are so rich and delicious.”
