What is your background?
“I am from Caracas, Venezuela. I graduated from university with a degree in International Affairs. Before moving to the United States, I worked at a bank in Venezuela in the social media department. I also collaborated with an NGO that provided food and healthcare programs to underserved communities.”
What has your Eataly journey been like?
“I started working at Eataly three years ago. I used to visit the Flatiron store and was always interested in working in that kind of environment. When I saw an opportunity on Craigslist, I applied and came in for an interview as a Barista, and that’s how my journey with the company began. I’ve been constantly learning since day one. This experience has helped me develop my leadership skills and strengthen my ability to work as part of a team. There are many things I love about my role, such as when everyone comes together and works in sync. I also value the friendships I’ve built at work. And of course, making coffee here is something I truly enjoy!”
What advice do you have for a fellow Eatalian?
“Be yourself, and give your best. Keep a positive attitude. There is always someone noticing our effort. Hard work pays off, and there are many opportunities available for those who are willing to grow.”
What are some fun facts about you?
“When I was a kid, I wanted to be a dentist … something completely different from what I do now. Over time, I developed an interest in business, diplomacy, and community work. I also love street photography.”
