Growing up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Sienna’s family fostered a love of good food in her from a young age. While working as a Grocery Buyer at a specialty shop, her appreciation of high-quality products deepened as she connected with a community that valued great food and craftsmanship.

In 2024, Sienna moved to NYC and joined Eataly SoHo as a Retail Lead. She immediately made herself an integral part of the team and store operations, committed to serving guests in the best way possible. During her very first week of work, she received a handwritten note from a guest thanking her for the amazing service she had provided.

Always willing to take on challenges and step up to support her team, Sienna enthusiastically participated as part of the Opening Squad for new Eataly store openings. At Eataly SoHo, she emerged as a trusted leader and was promoted to Market Manager in 2026. A role model for her fellow Eatalians, Sienna knows how to drive results while positively energizing all those she meets.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
“I wanted to be a pastry chef and loved watching Cake Boss. I spent a lot of time in the kitchen trying to recreate what I saw on TV, experimenting with different recipes and techniques.”

How did you start working at Eataly?
“My parents were both great cooks and were very interested in food and wine. We used to take special trip to Eataly Chicago, and I have vivid memories of shopping there, which felt exciting to me even as a child. Later in life, when I worked at specialty grocery store in Michigan, I saw how passionate people were about quality ingredients, and Eataly would often come up in conversations. When I moved to New York City, I already had it in my mind that I wanted to work for Eataly.”

What is your job like on a daily basis?
“As Market Manager, I oversee the success of the retail department at Eataly SoHo. I start by walking the store, noting anything that needs to be adjusted—whether it’s signage, stock, or organization. I check the coolers and ensure everything is set up properly. A big part of my role is delegating tasks and making sure my team has everything they need. I also manage ordering and back-end operations, keeping products stocked and promotions running correctly. Throughout the day, I problem-solve any issues that arise and stay proactive so things run smoothly.”

What is your favorite memory from your time at Eataly so far?
“I love speaking with guests and getting a glimpse into their lives. My favorite moments are when I get to connect with people and build relationships through shared experiences with food.”

What advice do you have for a fellow Eatalian?
“Stay open to learning and feedback. It’s important to try doing things in new ways and to be able to shift gears when an approach isn’t working. The opportunities here are vast, and I’ve already seen many people’s efforts recognized and lots of growth within the company.”

Who inspires you?
“My parents played a big role in shaping my love for food. Their enthusiasm for cooking and exploring different cuisines made me curious about flavors and ingredients. Also, seeing people around me take initiative and build something great inspires me to keep pushing forward.”

Outside of Eataly, what do you enjoy doing?
“I often enjoy doing artistic things like pottery, sculpture, screen printing, and graphic design.”
