Job Description

The Education and Events Lead is a food enthusiast who passionately engages guests in Eataly’s mission through events and educational programming. Reports to the General Manager of Events.

  • Assists with the execution of public and private events including: specialized cooking/wine/food knowledge classes, group reservations, buyouts, tastings and private receptions
  • Supervises event servers during events to ensure smooth execution
  • Compiles tech sheets/tasting notes/banquet Event Orders (BEO’s); creates class registration lists
  • Responsible for all aspects of the execution of functions and classes, from set up to clean up
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in restaurant operations, marketing, or event service
  • Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills
  • Outstanding professional communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Italian wine and gastronomy preferred
  • Proficiency in Italian language preferred

Job Requirements

  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
