Job Description
The Kitchen Manager assists with both the organization and execution of Eataly’s back of house (BOH) staff and product operations, as well as with financial reporting and cost management and analysis to support the profitability objectives of the leadership team. Reports to the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst.
- Partners with the Sous Chefs and Human Resources on the management of the BOH team: hires, trains, motivates, schedules, submits payroll, evaluates and terminates as necessary
- Receives and places orders for food and beverages for all restaurants; prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and prices; obtains recommendations from suppliers for substitute items
- Reviews invoices and deliveries, ensuring they are correct and on time
- Assists in inventory processing and management
- Performs consistent COGS reporting to ensure proper cost allocation and purchasing levels
- Designs and executes cost-containment strategies, particularly regarding recipe costing, menu pricing, and labor monitoring to maximize Eataly’s market share and profits
- Collaborates with Facilities and Food Safety to that ensure quality, service, health and safety standards are consistently met
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2+ years of progressively more responsible experience in Food & Beverage management
- Financial analysis and business management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding attention to detail

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Availability to work a flexible scheduling
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting

The starting range for this position is 65K – 75K per year.
