Job Description

The Dry Market Manager assists the General Manager of Retail in overseeing the complex retail operations of an Eataly store, which include: dry products andhousewares. 

 

Reports to the General Manager of Retail.

  • Assists in organizing the store’s retail operations to maximize profitability
  • Analyzes financial data and develops strategies around pricing, merchandizing and promotions
  • Manages merchandise and creates product lists, identifying roll-outs and phase-outs of products
  • Assists with employee hiring, assignment, training, payroll, scheduling and evaluations
  • Documents, investigates and resolves employee and guest incidents
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of retail or grocery management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Exceptional leadership, motivational and team-building skills  
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience with Italian products and wine strongly preferred 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
  • Ability to operate equipment such as a slicer, pasta machine or cash register as needed
  • Food Handler’s Certification
