What is your background?
“I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. I spent almost all my life there until 2022 when I moved to Boston. Before graduating from college, I got the chance to work as an assistant in a radio program in Venezuela, where I soon started leading my own radio show. Since moving to Boston, I have continued working with the station online and host a show that airs on Mondays and Fridays in Venezuela. I have also worked for three years in my aunt’s Venezuelan restaurant here in Boston.”

What has your Eataly journey been like?
“I have learned something new in every class and event that I’ve participated in. During my first few months, I focused on adapting to the work environment and Italian culture, which came easily to me. Understanding how Eataly operates as a company also came naturally. I always try to help wherever needed, which has allowed me to learn tasks beyond my main responsibilities and better support my teammates. Being a specialist means ‘being an all-arounder.’ During events like the block party and Wine Around, I’ve worked in different stations and have helped organize the events with my managers’ support. Over time, I’ve gained my managers’ trust and have taken on new responsibilities. My experience with cooking classes has also helped the team improve our offerings and create a more memorable experience for our guests.”

What advice do you have for a fellow Eatalian?
“I would tell them to talk to everyone at the store. Because Eataly is so big, all of our departments work together in one way or another. Being able to build a strong relationship with your team will really make it easier for you to do your job well. It’s also important to always ask for help and learn from your peers.”

What are some fun facts about you?
“I’m actually brown belt in Karate! I have practiced it for around 8 years and have won some tournaments back in my country.”
