What is your background?
“I was born and raised in Mexico City. I studied law and worked as a lawyer at Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office. One of my passions is food. Following that passion is how I became more involved in the restaurant field, and that showed me the path to ultimately join Eataly.”

What has your Eataly journey been like?
“I started working at Eataly in November 2023. New challenges arise every day, and I believe that we manage to overcome any obstacle that comes our way as a team. Without a doubt, I think my work as a Busser is one of the pillars, since I always try to support my coworkers to maximize productivity. My favorite part of my job is being among the strong and productive team we have built together. Each of us knows exactly what we need to do so that guests have the best experience at Eataly.”

What advice do you have for a fellow Eatalian?
“My advice is to have emotional intelligence and strategic intelligence; by this, I mean that success in the dining room and the kitchen comes from reading people with the heart and the workflow with the mind. Keep a cool head, a warm manner, and stay one step ahead.”

What are some fun facts about you?
“Outside of work, I like to practice cycling; it’s my favorite sport along with going for runs. When I was a child, I always dreamt of being a lawyer. I achieved that dream, and the next dream on the list was to live outside my home country – and that’s what brought me to Los Angeles. Another fun fact: I don’t like lemon, but I do like lemonade, and I only drink coffee cold. Another fun fact is that my grandmother had cows in her town, and I lived with her for a while and helped take care of them. There was one cow that wouldn’t eat unless I was there, so I was basically best friends with a cow.”
